Southern Ballet's senior school is designed for students 12 years and above. We offer both the British Ballet Organisation and Royal Academy of Dance syllabi for senior ballet students and the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance for jazz and contemporary students.
All syllabi build upon fundamental skills learned in the junior school and develop students' dance capabilities to the next level.
BBO ballet exams are held annually in October and an exam school in the second week of the September school holidays is required as a pre-requisite for the process.
RAD ballet exams, and jazz and contemporary exams are held annually in August and an exam school in the July school holidays is required as a pre-requisite for the process.
The Isaac Theatre Royal is booked for our end of year production which involves all Junior and Senior school students.
